Candela Montenegro

Candela Montenegro is the Operations & Recruitment Coordinator at Proving Ground, within Harvard University's Center for Education Policy Research. She handles the project's operations, partnerships, and communication efforts. 

Before joining CEPR, Candela was a fellow in the Economic Empowerment division at the Massachusetts Office of the State Treasurer and Receiver General. During her two-year tenure, she helped design and implement an outreach and partnership strategy for a pilot program. The pilot's outcomes shaped the development of the first statewide college savings initiative.

She's passionate about music education, advocating for artist rights and support systems. She admires Taylor Swift for her leadership in this area.

Candela holds a B.A. in International Studies from the College of the Holy Cross, specializing in Latin America with a focus on Conflict and Conflict Resolution.
